What is the ACM?
The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) is an international
organization dedicated to improving the industry of computing
sciences.
What is the ACM at KSU?
The Association for Computing Machinery at Kennesaw State
University (ACM@KSU) is a student organization dedicated to
suppling students with the resources needed in order to succeed
in the professional and educational environments of computing
sciences.
What does it cost to join?
The ACM@KSU is FREE. No cost to join. However,
there is a cost if one chooses to purchase materials such
as the ACM t-shirts or books. The International ACM does have
yearly membership dues ranging from $17 - $60.
What benefits does the International ACM provide?
The International ACM gives students and professionals access
to the digital library from home, access to the career services
center, and inventations to conferences and events supported
by the ACM. ACM@KSU gives students access to the digital library
from campus, networks students to local companies for a chance
for career advancement, and supplys students with information
regarding the field of computing through guest speakers and
workshops.
How do I join?
To join the international ACM, you must select the payment
that is right for your needs and keep up with your membership
dues. To join the ACM@KSU, just fill out the on-line database
form and click submit. Simple enough.
Where do the meetings take place?
Please refer to the meetings and events pages located in the
menu to your left.
How do I buy a t-shirt?
Attend an ACM meeting and ask for the executive black t-shirt
by simply requesting one from the current President.
**Please note, by wearing the t-shirt, you may become socially
acceptible and become well known on campus.
How do I inquire about a question I have about the ACM that
is not located on this page?
E-mail one of the officers your question and it shall be answered
as quickly as possible.
